I attended Goring Hall Hospital in August 2016 for an operation. Due to my numerous hospital admittances over the previous 15 years it has meant that my veins do not allow easy access for cannullas needed during a general anaesthetic. This has meant that quite often I will need a central line in my neck. David Uncles put me at my ease and was extremely understanding of how nervous I had become. At my request for gas and air during the procedure for putting in a central line into my neck, he happily obliged and it meant that having gas and air relaxed me and assisted in making the experience as stress free as possible. Although due to previous scar tissue in my neck from previous central lines meant a slightly prolonged procedure, David Uncles handled the procedured in a profressional manner and the placement was completed very well and meant that the line was able to stay in and work very well during my extended stay. I would definitely recommend David Uncles' services.

I was put completely at ease doctor made it easy for me to understand what was happening I really do not know that improvements could be made just keep up the very high standards that are in place already

I felt Dr Uncles was in control whilst I was in his care. I don't think I was very responsive to to his jollying me along with Cliff Richards hits though. I just wanted to close my eyes and be operated on.

Dr Uncles was recommended by my surgeon Mr Woodhams. We requested a meeting with Dr Uncles which proved very informative and changed the proposed method of anaesthetising me. This proved successful, caused no pain and resulted in a shorter recovery time than the original proposal.
Dr Uncles was very easy to talk to and explained the procedures possible. He visited me before and after the operation.
I would recommend Dr Uncles to anyone needing an anaesthetic.

Dr Uncles put me at ease with his personable manner. He took time to explain the procedure, time scale and expected outcome.

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
